FCI European Dog Show 2004

This year's FCI European Dog Show took place in the Catalan metropolis Barcelona. With a total entry of 7773 dogs, this exhibition was - according to the information of the organisers - the most important international dog show organised by the FCI in 2004. Exhibitors from 53 countries presented 260 breeds and varieties. Carlos Salas Melero judged the Galgos Españoles on Friday. They all came, with no exeption, from Spanish kennels.

Best male of the 'puppy class' was Jucaro Spi Apolo, the puppy-BOB was given to his sister Jucaro Spi Aretha. The only male of the 'junior class' was Castuo de Calathea. Among the females, there were his two sisters Copla and Cantinera, the later being preferred by the judge. In the 'open class', the CAC's were given to Cordon de Valle Estrella among the males, and Rayma Illa among the females. Best male of the 'champion class' was Ritmo de Valle Estrella, the BOB finally was given to the nine year old Rayma Ukelele.
