At the end of our trip to South Korea, we flew to Jeju Island, a volcanic island located approx. 85 km south of the mainland and by far the largest island in South Korea. Jeju is where South Korea's highest mountain, the Hallasan volcano, is located. It also has beautiful sandy beaches, impressive waterfalls, temples and cliffs. In addition, Jeju is home to the "Haenyeo", female freedivers who dive for seafood without oxygen and are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage.
And if you're already on Jeju and - like us - love Snoopy and his friends, then a visit to "Snoopy Garden" is a must. Snoopy Garden is a theme park with a small museum and extensive, well-maintained gardens full of characters from the Peanuts series, which are perfect for a stroll. To our knowledge, there is no other place like it.
After that, we returned to Seoul and finally flew back to Germany. We had three exciting weeks full of new impressions behind us!
