Last weekend, at the international dog show in Hannover, Little Lobito Ebro (presented in the intermediate class) got Ex1, CAC, CACIB. Amigo-Ruiz del Gran Matador (B.: Gutwenger, O.: Raspe) was entered in the junior class and got Ex1 and BOB. The judge was Mr. Fischer from Germany.

Last weekend, Little Lobito Dama de Juny got Ex1, RCAC and VDH in the open class on the exhibition in Issum. CAC, VDH and BOB were given to Abba Amona Belmira, entered in the working class. The judge was Mrs. Schwerm-Hahne.

On Sunday, Romanow's Valentino and our little Delfina were the only Galgos at the start of the traditional St. Martins-Coursing. Right on time for their run, it started to rain cats and dogs (because of that, we haven't taken any photos). Nevertheless, they did a good run (and due the weather and some other delays, there was no second run). Valentino got 57 points and the CACC, Delfina got 49 points and the RCACC.

And in addition, we've got new Lobito-Post from Flaco, Faralaes and Faraona.

Naturally, we are going to produce a Galgo Calendar again this year. As usual in DIN A3 with 13 coloured pages. The price will be around 10 Euro, plus shipping cost (in Germany approx. 4-5 Euro, Europe approx. 8-10 Euro). For being able to estimate how many copies are needed, we take binding orders from now on. Please, don't wait too long, otherwise they're all gone!

Last Saturday, Mr. Sistermann gave the BOB to Little Lobito Don Miguel on the exhibition in Haan-Hochdahl. He now meets the requirements for the title "German Champion of Beauty". Congratulation! Second was Romanow's Xanthos (Ex2, RCAC, RVDH).

Almost 350 sighthounds were presented in Bad Homburg on the 46th Sighthound Festival which took place yesterday. Wonderful weather, many visitors from the town, and 81 Deerhounds - which came for their special exhibition - provided a fantastic atmosphere. In addition, we had the opportunity to meet Ebano and his owners, which made us very happy. And here are the results of the Galgos.

Almost every day we receive mail with photos and reports of the little F-Lobitos. We barely make it to answer them all, so we say from here: thank you very much! All puppies have coped very well with the change, and some of them already found new friends, as you can see in our Lobito-Post.

Today, the last two puppies left our home and we have to get used to the peace ;-). We conclude, as always, with our portrait series. Now, we are very curious to see how the little ones develop and in addition, we are looking forward hopefully to having puppies again next year.

The first puppies already live with their new families and also the others don't have to wait for long until they will be picked up. A short glance at our last photo series shows that we all have good reasons to be very happy about that ;-) Since the little ones start being interested in those things which are forbidden.

Today, the Tammsvik Summer Show took place in Sweden. The BOB was given to the female Rayma Itaca and the best male was Ukelele's Litri. In addition, we have got the results of this year's coursing and exhibition of the Club du SLAG, which took place last weekend in Le Pouget/France.

The sixth week almost comes to an end. Some of the future puppy owners have already chosen names for their little ones, others are still thinking about it. In the photo series of this week, again all puppies are shown individually. In addition, we send our congratulations to Ebro for the title "Verbandsjugendsieger" and Caspar for the title "Verbandssieger" which they got at the show in Cologne!

We have got the results of three exhibitions: in Hamburg-Höltigbaum, Mrs. Müller/CH judged the four Lobitos - Juni, Kandis, Castelló and El Draco. The later even got the Junior-BIS! Rosa was second with Juni (photo) in the competition "junior handling". In Lage, Ebro and Carlito were very successful. Last but not least, we have the results from Lelystad, where the club show of the NVOW took place. Here, the Lobitos were represented by Antonio, Benisa and Bastian.

Well, from time to time, the living room has to be vacuum-cleaned or wiped - which means that the dog beds have to be displaced. This, of course, is unacceptable for a real princess, as you can see on our latest photo of the month.

At the international exhibition in Genk/B, which took place last Saturday, CAC and CACIB were given to Little Lobito Delarueda. She now meets the requirements for the titles Belgian and international Champion of Beauty.

Claudia is back from Spain and, with her, all our cameras, which means that we are going to have new puppy pictures shortly. In addition, we will report about the first Feria del Galgo, which took place together with the Monográfica in Medina del Campo. Today at the FCI world championship in Mlada Boleslav/CZ, the Galgos had a mixed competition, because not all engaged dogs were at the start. The world champion title went to the male Barbian Barbaro del Niños Vencedores (B: Hübchen, O: Reuser/Atsma). Congratulations to the breeder and to the owner!

Good news from the North: at the CAC exhibition in Hoisdorf, Mr. Fischer gave Ex1, CAC and BOB to Little Lobito Ana Candis, who now meets the requirements for the title German Champion of Beauty (DWZRV). Congratulations! Meanwhile, we were in Gelsenkirchen and brought the results from there.

The rescued buzzard has got his freedom again and Claudia was allowed to let him free. The newspaper Westfälische Rundschau even released a detailed photo article in the local part of its today's issue! "Without human help, the buzzard would not have been able to escape the barbwire trap" said Thorsten Kestner, vice-chairman of the animal shelter in Gedern. "It was stuck, the rest would have been done by a marten or fox."

Yesterday, our Galgos saved the life of an injured buzzard. The raptor got entangled in a barbwire off the path, and could barely be discovered because of its "camouflage". Nevertheless, it couldn't avoid attracting the attention of Alex & Co. An expert for wild birds, who was immediately called, took it to a private wild birds hospital (www.paasmuehle.de), where they took care for it. Most probably, it can be re-released next week already.

With a heavy heart, Little Lobito Espina was brought back to us by her owner today. Due to personal reasons, the little one cannot be kept anymore. Therefore, we are again looking for a new home for her. Espina is now seven months old and in the meanwhile, she became a young Lady. She is well-behaved and very sweet. New photos of her can be seen here. If you are willing to give Espina a new home, please contact us.
