Unfortunately, we had no time to prepare our "classic" calendar for the coming year early enough, so we originally planned to skip it. But due to many disappointed reactions, we looked for a substitute and eventually found one which seems to have a reasonable good quality (although we don't have an example to hand yet). This is the link where you can order it.

We are back from our holidays which led us to Switzerland, France and Spain, with about 4000 photos, red wine, tomate frito, new ideas and Galgos, who immediately jumped back into the camping car when they noticed the first raindrops. And a lot of unanswered emails are waiting for us...

Today, our Paula celebrates her birthday! She is now 14 years old, and we think, that this is quite a ripe old age! Sure, she is no longer as fit as a fiddle, but most important is, that she still has got a good appetite ;-)

Yesterday, we were at the LS-CAC exhibition in Cologne to present our Hilde and Bärbel. Hilde now meets the requirements for the title "German Champion of Beauty", and Bärbel accordingly for the title "DWZRV-Veteran-Champion". Here are the results of the show.

On Sunday, Little Lobito Inés ran her first race in Berlin-Zehlendorf and got the first place right away. Congratulations! Here are the results.

On the last weekend, we were in Bad Homburg, where 300 sighthounds were presented at this year's CAC exhibition. As usual, the show was well attended, the atmosphere was nice, and, at least during the judgement of the Galgos and during the final ring in the afternoon, the sun was shining. We compiled the results of the Galgos, and in our facebook photo album you can find some photos.

Yesterday, the biggest event in the course of the Culture Capital Ruhr.2010 took place: the STILL-LEBEN A40 (Still-Life A40). For this purpose, the motorway A40 had been closed between Duisburg and Dortmund on a length of about 60 kilometres and over almost the complete distance, there were tables and benches which could be reserved in advance. We were there and took Hilde and Uschi with us. See our photos in our facebook photo album.

Yesterday, with midsummery temperatures, this year's Verbandssieger Exhibition took place in Cologne. But, only three Galgos were engaged: Little Lobito Ingrid (B: Gaede/Ebbrecht, O: Querfurth) got the title "Verbandssieger 2010" and the BOB right out of the intermediate class, her mother Little Lobito Barbarella (B + O: Gaede/Ebbrecht) got the veteran-BOB and San Agustin del Guadalix Asira (B + O: Rodriguez) got the title "junior Verbandssieger", the junior-BOB and in the evening also the junior-BIS!

Today, exactly 10 years passed since the birth of our first litter! Among the 9 puppies, born on that day, there was a little black female, who stayed with us and grew up to the beloved and world-famous Princess Alex I. This is, of course, something which we are going to celebrate adequately together with her! In addition, we also send our cordial congratulations to the other birthday children!

We spent a long weekend at this year's special Galgo show in Hünstetten, enjoying marvellous weather together with our friends. Yesterday, Mr. Jipping from the Netherlands judged in Haan-Hochdahl. These are the results of the three entered Galgos: Rayma Dimarts (vp1/puppy-BOB), Little Lobito Azuela (VC: Ex1/V-CAC/V-VDH/V-BOB) and Little Lobito Hilda (OC: Ex1/CAC/VDH/BOB).

Yesterday, Little Lobito Inés got Ex1/VDH/CAC/BF/BOB at the CAC exhibition in Großenaspe in the junior class. The judge was Ms. Poduschka-Aigner from Austria. Congratulations from Wetter!

Yesterday, there were only two Galgos entered at the exhibition in Ostercappeln: Grey Mountain Buenaventura in the open class and Little Lobito Barbarella, for the first time in the veteran class. Both got Ex1/CAC/BOB in their class. The Galgos were judged by Mr. Gerritsen from the Netherlands, as well as the special veteran competition (see photo) in the afternoon.
